Meet Barbara Rossi, our Design Intern-turned-Junior Graphic Designer at FutureBrand UXUS. Barbara shares her journey from university to joining our creative agency, where she’s discovering how the theories she studied come to life in real-world projects. She talks about how her creativity is fueled by her passions for art, architecture, photography, and travel, and why she believes good design is a balance between aesthetics and functionality.

Q: What’s the biggest thing that’s changed between your time at school and your time at FutureBrand UXUS?

Barbara: A: The main difference between my time at university and now entering the workforce is the realization that everything you've studied becomes a reality. Working together with a team to accomplish a project, dividing resources, scheduling work, and making it all engaging. At FutureBrand UXUS, all of this comes to fruition through systemic and multidisciplinary work, fulfilling a client's real needs.

Q: What fuels your creativity?

Barbara: I believe that the beginning of the creative process always starts with the cultural background that each of us brings with us, including our passions and inspirations that have marked our path in the design world.

I recently graduated from Isia Roma Design, where over the years I have developed multidisciplinary skills spanning different subjects and this reflects my character. I like to think that good design is a balance between aesthetics and functionality. My greatest passions are art, architecture, photography and travel. I am inspired by rationalism, pure geometries and contemporary art in all my design projects.

Q: What drew you to work at FutureBrand UXUS?

Barbara: As my master's degree at the university was coming to an end, I began to feel the need to find a job. The goal was to find an agency that would allow me to grow not only professionally but also personally and culturally. So I discovered the Erasmus+ project, which allows recent graduates to move abroad and find themselves the right company for their needs. After a careful selection, I chose FutureBrand UXUS because of the confidence that the people I was interacting with gave me: their quick response, the certainty of knowing they supported me, their work portfolio and how they approach client work, were from the very beginning the reasons that made me feel confident in my choice.

Q: What is your favourite part of the creative process?

Barbara: Every part of the creative process of a project has its own merit and importance. In the moment when the brief is delivered there is the adrenaline of getting to know and discover a new reality to tell. In the actual creative process, the most beautiful thing is being able to collaborate with architects, interior designers, project managers who work together with you towards the same goals. Finally there is the delivery of the project, from which you receive gratification and satisfaction in seeing that all the people involved have collaborated to create a project. The most interesting part I think is to see how the initial ideas turned into a concrete, real project.

Q: What’s the most exciting aspect of being part of this creative agency?

Barbara: The most interesting aspect of being part of a creative agency is being able to express your creativity through projects. Combining the client's requests with your own skills is what FutureBrand UXUS requires of you every day. From the human point of view, on the other hand, it is like being part of a big family, made up of people from all over the world, each with a different cultural background that can influence and enrich yours. Everyone has their own role and task; it is together that exceptional projects are created.
