FutureBrand UXUS is excited to unveil its collaboration with Greene King in the creation of The Everly Hotels Collection. Revitalising historic properties by blending contemporary freshness with a celebration of heritage, people, and place. This collection transforms each hotel into a unique destination that captures the essence of its surroundings. The first hotel in this portfolio, The White Horses in Rottingdean, East Sussex, opened its doors this summer, introducing guests to a fresh take on accessible luxury that speaks to both travelers and the local community.

Revitalizing a seaside treasure

The design team worked meticulously to preserve The White Horses’ heritage while
infusing the space with contemporary elements that elevate the guest experience.
The hotel’s new identity draws inspiration from its seaside location, with a
sophisticated yet approachable atmosphere that balances timeless charm with
modern design. From the art-deco-inspired logo to the soothing coastal palette,
every detail has been thoughtfully curated to evoke a sense of understated luxury.

“The Everly Hotels Collection is more than just a place to stay; it’s a journey
into the essence of each location,” explains Amy Ingrassia, Creative Director
at FutureBrand UXUS. “At The White Horses, we’ve created an experience that
combines luxurious comfort with the thrill of authentic local discovery.”

Design Rooted in Local Culture

A key feature of The Everly Hotels Collection is its commitment to local authenticity.
From the beginning, we immersed ourselves in Rottingdean’s culture, ensuring the
design reflected the area’s heritage. Every detail has been thoughtfully curated,
offering guests a meaningful connection to the locality. The design incorporates
materials inspired by the region’s fishing history, adding texture and warmth to create a serene coastal atmosphere.

Guests are welcomed with personal touches that enhance their stay, including an
artist-drawn map, a welcome box with local delicacies, and personalized tips for
exploring the area. The hotel's Local Story Spotlights feature captivating stories of
the region’s past, inviting guests to discover the hidden history woven throughout the space.

A Community-Centered Experience

More than just a hotel, The White Horses is a gathering place for both visitors and
locals. The social areas have been designed to foster a sense of community, and
flex across different moods and needs – from casual coffees to celebrations. The
restaurant and bar provide menus celebrating local flavors, and the Discovery Bar is
a standout feature, offering new flavours and memorable experiences. A small retail offering curates a selection of local artisanal products, encouraging guests to support local businesses and artists while taking a piece of their experience home.

The Everly Hotels Collection promises consistently high standards across its
properties while ensuring that each hotel retains its individuality. By blending
contemporary design with local character, FutureBrand UXUS has crafted a brand
that resonates with both modern travelers and the communities it serves. The Everly Hotels Collection celebrates heritage, people and place, delivering unforgettable guest experiences.
